ArtLatinAmerica.com is pleased to present the exhibit “Colores del Sur” featuring paintings from Jose Guedez, Bruno Garcia, Yovanni Saracual and Alexandra Von Fedak.
The exhibit opens on Friday evening, February 6th and will continue through Sunday February 8th, 2009, at Rogue Space, 508 W. 26th Street, Suite 9F in New York City. This is a rare opportunity to see the work of these four leading South American artists in New York. All are contemporary artists with a range of vibrant artworks, featuring “colors from the south”.
Jose Guedez will be showing a series with bi-color canes, leaning against contrasting walls that appear to be tearing. All the elements present in the works of Guedez flow to the vortex of time and space and memory, at the center of the real universe where the surrealistic genius of Dalí reigns forever.
Celestial Figures will be the focus of the paintings presented by Bruno Garcia. Garcia has the ability to mentally transport us to a different time and space—a time where the sky was filled with different symbols to embellish the human life. Garcia is formal when facing the canvas, and uses a strong hand to draft his drawings and express his work.
Yovanni Saracual is showing his magnificent horses. The horse is the oldest symbol of cyclical movement of life. Saracual has concluded that the horse is the symbol of the animal power in the human being, with the vigor of its instincts. Saracual grew up in an environment where the horse was the center of life, “looking like elegant ladies, beautiful, feeling important, while at the same time strong, noble and soft. I’m different from the other artists that paint horses simply because I know why they exist.”
Alexandra Von Fedak is showing what can simply be described as the most realistic fruits. With an excellent technique in oil, Von Fedak manifests her great emotive imagination, searching from her life memories and emotions. She invites us to stay a bit longer to discover the secret world of this great Venezuelan artist.
